Calling All Jewish Veterans or Active Duty Service Members

Published July 23, 2015, issue of July 23, 2015.

On Sunday, August 23, the Lowell Spinners will host a Jewish Heritage Day as part of their scheduled game versus the Staten Island Yankees. In addition to a “Red Sox vs. Yankees” baseball game at 3 p.m., there will be Jewish music, trivia and decorations at the ballpark.

As a special tribute, the Merrimack Valley Jewish Federation will honor Jewish men and women who are American military veterans or active duty personnel. The MVJF invites veterans of any era (WW II, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, Iraq or Afghanistan) or active duty troops to the game, and to participate in a brief on-field ceremony to recognize their contributions to protecting our freedom.

The first 20 veterans that contact us will receive two free tickets to the game and participate in the honors ceremony.
