The Consulate General of Israel to New England honored the life and legacy of Prime Minister and Nobel Peace Laureate Yitzhak Rabin at Hebrew College on November 6. More than 200 attended the memorial, including students from The Rashi School, The Jewish Community Day School and Beacon Academy, whose students participated in an essay contest discussing how Rabin’s legacy is at play in their personal lives. Yehuda Yaakov, Israeli Consul General to New England, Congressman Joe Kennedy III, CJP President Barry Shrage and Moshe Safdie, architect of Yad Vashem (Israel’s Holocaust Memorial) and a close friend of Yitzhak Rabin, all addressed the audience.
