Milton Dushane, 85, of Peabody, beloved life partner of Gladys Saslaw of Peabody. Born in Malden, he was the dear son of the late George and Julia (Braverman) Dushane.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army.
Milton was the longtime proprietor of B & D Antiques in Lynnfield and in his later years enjoyed working at Loews.
Milt was well known at the Nautilus gym and various other gyms locally, where he enjoyed working out and training. Milton was also an avid Red Sox Fan and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. Milton truly loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them, he especially enjoyed his time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his life partner, he is survived by three devoted sons, Jerold Dushane and his fiancée Marianne Greco of Salem, N.H., and Kenneth Dushane and his wife Meredith LeBlanc Dushane of Salem, N.H., and Joel Saslaw and his wife Carole Saslaw of Peabody; one devoted daughter, Sharon Saslaw Bridson of Sandown, N.H.; eight cherished grandchildren, Alysia, Julia, Ayla and Vespa Dushane, Anna and Zachary Bridson and Justin and Ryan Saslaw. He was also the brother of the late Beverly Edel.
Services at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St., Salem, on Wednesday, May 4, at 12 noon. Interment at Workman’s Circle Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial observance following the interment on Wednesday until 8 PM and on Thursday 2-8 PM at the home of Joel and Carole Saslaw.
