Does anyone else have a feeling of déjà vu?
Yet another report – this one from the American Institute for Cancer Research and the World Cancer Research Fund – links bacon and other processed meats to cancer.
But unlike the earlier World Health Organization report, which warned that each 50 gram portion of processed meat (the equivalent of a hot dog) we eat per day increases our risk of colorectal cancer by 18 percent, the new report warns that every 50 gram serving of processed meat we eat per day raises our risk of stomach cancer by 18 percent.
See the difference?
