Lola P. Sandler

Lola P. Sandler, 83 – late of Peabody. Died peacefully on Monday, May 16, 2016, at The Gables assisted living community in Winchester, surrounded by her family.

Lola was the loving daughter of the late Abraham and Rose Glimcher. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Jason Sandler; her children Richard and Kim Sandler of Amesbury, David and Suzanne Sandler of North Reading, Scott and Amber Sandler of Houston, Texas, and Joy and Jeffrey Abramovitz of Burlington; her grandchildren Charlie Sandler and his wife Wendy, Lindsay Fletcher and her husband Nathan, Jonathan Corella-Sandler and his husband Joseph, Kelli Sandler and her fiancé Adam Cucurull, Ally Brooks, and Peter Abramovitz; her great-grandchildren Lincoln, Leo and Ruby Sandler, Noah and Ava Cucurull, and Benjamin Fletcher. She is also survived by her sister Irma Gershkowitz and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved first husband Charles Karas and her brother Alexander Glimcher.

Services for Lola will be held at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St., Salem, on Wednesday, May 18, at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Puritan Lawn in Peabody. Shiva will be held at the home of David and Suzanne Sandler in North Reading, on Wednesday, May 18, Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The family would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice for their services and support. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Lola’s memory to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or to the preschool program at Temple Tiferet Shalom in Peabody.
