As an American and a Jew, I am deeply shocked and ashamed at the “cartoon” that was prominently placed on last week’s Journal back page. It is not only inaccurate, but more importantly offensive and stereotypical in the worst possible way. It’s the kind of trash not out of place in pre-war Germany with a different religion targeted.
The Journal owes unequivocal apologies for its publication not only to members of other faiths, but to the Jewish community the Journal suggests to readers and advertisers it represents.
